First Day of School

Well it has finally arrived!! They were off to school nervous and excited. They seem to have had a good first day. Porter had school lunch and when he got home he said "mom I want home lunch tomorrow the kids all told me my food looked liked throw up" it was mac & cheese. So much for the school lunches we had when we were growing up. It was hard to leave Porter all day seems so long and he is still so little. No one had any hesitations about going back today so we will see!

Office Marathon

Cassie let us borrow her season 1 and 2 of The Office we tried to cram in watching them in 3 days.  Brians new job has had him studying 8 hrs a day so this was a nice break for the both of us!! What a great show not too often do we laugh out loud at sitcoms but this is one of them!  Thanks Cassie now we need to start on season 3!  Are any of you big fans?

School Count down!!

The count down is on 1 week from tomorrow school starts.  Not that I don't love my kids we are in serious need of a routine!!  And I really think they need to have time to miss each other during the day, these last couple of weeks they have had to much togetherness and not in the good way!!  I love the start of a new school year, new back packs and clothes and all the excitement the kids feel.  I know that as soon as they go I will miss them and wish they were home just a little longer. It will be Porter's first year in all day school which I stress about because they are gone for so long.  I know he will do great and I will have to suck it up.  Wyatt and I will have a great time together.  I need to take some pics for my new header so I will add those later!!

Girls just want to have fun!!

Bryn's friends were over today and they love to always put shows on.  They had problems finding an audience today the boys were not interested.  I told them I would watch and video taped it!!  

Not that they had any problems with that!!

Bear Lake!!

We love Bear Lake! Brian and I actually went on our honeymoon there! We are grateful to wonderful friends that invite us and some other couples up to their cabin every year. What a fun trip! We hung out on the beach all day, water skied, and relaxed!! All the kids tried to water ski and did great. The adults had a great time trying to learn how to surf behind the boat (something I have never heard of before) it was a blast although I sucked. It looked a lot easier than it was. I will have to get the picks from Johnny's camera I was having too much fun I forgot to get my camera out!

I always think of how it would to be a part of a polygamist family when we get together like this. Everything is so much easier when you have 5 women doing everything together. I do have a problem sharing my husband that part I am not okay with!! But how easy life would be to share all the chores!!

Johnny and Kelly little boy Ky got stung by a bee on his lip and it made his whole face swell!! He was such a trooper. Luckily this was the only injury on this trip. Poor little guy.

We all had a great time. Thanks Jas and Jen for always being such great hosts and inviting us up. You are the best!!!

Another year older!!

So I tried not to have another birthday this year I think that after you turn 30 you should be able to opt out. The older I get the more awkward I feel about the attention. Any who, it was a great b-day. My kids made me things from around the house I always love that, they think it is so much fun. You just have to wait a while to put all of it back where they got it from so they don't notice. My fun sis-in-laws took me to Olive Garden for lunch it was a nice break to actually go somewhere without our combined 11 kids. Lots of laughing and girl talk that was much needed!! I would have a picture but sometimes I feel so weird asking the waiter to take our picture, but trust me they are all super cute girls!! Thanks a ton. My sweet hubby took me to get a couples massage that ended way too quickly! It was a great day.

The next day we went to Famous Daves with some of our good friends! Poor Kelli got stuck in

3 1/2 hours of traffic on I-15 I felt so bad for her she is 8 months pregnant, talk about bladder control!! Her cute husband came anyway he is a good sport. We thought she would be able to make it. I am so grateful for great family and friends!
