BRACE FACE!!!

The day has finally arrived!! Bryn got her braces, she was soo excited! I'm sure that it will be short lived.  At least they do them in phases now so you don't have to have them on all of your teeth the entire time!!  Here are some before and after pics!  Thanks Dr. Simkins for making Brynleigh so excited about gluing metal in her mouth!!

My kids are constantly playing the guessing game in the car.  Brynleigh starts, " I am thinking of something that smells really good, lots of different colors, and is pretty.  Porter without hesitations blurts out "Girls!!!"   "What!!" Brynleigh says, "NO flowers!!!"  Porter do girls smell good?  To which he responds "yes they do"  I wonder who he has been smelling lately?!

FHE is great!!!

So Frontrunner is supposed to be the latest and greatest transportation to hit the salt lake valley. They have really advertised it quite a bit and my kids have been watching it go by for about 2 months now.  It finally opened last weekend and they were offering free rides for the first 5 days.  So we didnt go on saturday because we knew it would be way crowded.  We decided to go for FHE down to the gateway and get ice cream at Ben & Jerry's.  What a fun idea I thought WRONG!!!  Half of northern utah had the same idea.  Let me give you a little time line.  6:10 we get to the layton station the trains run every half hour, oddly enough right when we get there a train was leaving for SLC.  Must be running a little late.  6:50 ogden bound train goes by, no slc train.  7:15  Slc train comes up completely full no way we are getting on.  7:20 ogden train arrives oh we will just hop on that one and go to Farrs ice cream instead.   Our first clue should have been all the people getting off saying "dont do it dont get on!"  Half hour drive to ogden, then a short 6 block walk to Farrs,  When we get there they are on #35 our # is 59 oh well we will just hang out.  8:45 finally get our ice cream head back to the station, the 9:00 train is just leaving we will catch the next one.  WRONG it is only running every hour after 7pm,  no bathrooms or lights on at the station outside.  Kids have to go potty 9:30 we have plenty of time to get to the restaurant down the street before the train comes.  WRONG we get half way there Brian calls me on the phone the train is coming!!  Rush back to get on the train which we sit on for another 15 min.  ( Brian's family also came with us but went to a restaurant to eat, his sister is due in 2 weeks and amazingly enough no one got up to give her a seat when we got on the train)  They make the train, and we are finally on our way.  I happen to call the comment # on the sign at the station which is funny enough disconnected.  To end a very long story we make it back to Layton station 10:20  What great troopers we have they still had smiles on their faces!!!   Brynleigh said as we left" that was the first and the worst train ride I have ever been on!!"  Well said!!   Just because it is free doesnt mean it is a good idea!!

SUPERSTAR!!!

Bryn was soooo excited her friend in her class was having a birthday party that they got to drive around in a limo.  She even ditched play practice, if you know Bryn that is a big deal to skip out on a commitment.  They were so cute they got sunglasses and a purse with lip gloss mints, and tissues.  They even went to the school to pick up their teacher.  All they did was ride around picking up all the girls and went to the mall to get a smoothie.  What a great idea!! Easy party for moms!!  Just as long as she doesn't get used to that kind of treatment!!  She had a blast!

Quite Impressive (it's all relative)

So I must say I am quite impressed at these skirts we made.  My friend Jen bought some off of etsy, and thought that it would be easy to make.   I think this of a lot of things only to realize we would be better off buying whatever it is.  Myself and my  sisters in law Kristi and Jen got together and bought fabric, (which we got way too much but we couldn't decide) and got started.  So not only did we make 12 skirts in 4 hours we fed, bathed and refereed 10 kids under the age of 8.  Not too shabby if I must say so.  We had quite the assembly line going.  This was a big accomplishment since I do NOT sew very well.  And I think they turned out darling.  We only have 17 left to make so we need to make it a girls night without kids to finish!!! We even decided to make ourselves one I will post pics as soon as we get them done!!

Our little Mister Wyatt

Wyatt cracks us up!! They watched Nancy Drew a couple weeks ago and there is a short chubby kid on there that he thinks is great.  Since then he has been going up to girls and saying this, it is hilarious.  He is so much fun to be around, since the other kids are at school he is my little buddy.  I will be so lonely when he is off to school himself.  He always says the funniest things and for some reason he loves to say actually a lot so cute.  He is easily entertained and loves to laugh.  I catch him laughing hysterically at t.v. shows the side splitting kind of laugh so I have to stop and see what is so funny, most of the time I don't get it, but I love watching him. He has a laugh that is so contagious and we end up laughing at how hard he is laughing!!  We love his GUTS!!!

I have a strange fascination with other peoples blogs,  I somehow get to a blog of someone I do not even know and read about them.  I do not remember how I came across this blog but she is a photographer and speaks so eloquently.  She lost a daughter in an accident and it is an amazing blog.  I have been sitting here reading it and crying.  How blessed we are to have 3 beautiful healthy, energetic children.  Sometimes the day goes by so quickly with all the things that need to be done.  It is easy to forget the laundry, errands, mopping, etc. can all be done tomorrow, but how many tomorrows will I be asked to, and get to play ninja turtles,  jump rope, or paint each others nails!!  Time goes so quickly, make the most of it.

Got to love my husband!!

So we have this photo booth on our mac.  You can take pictures using the camera on the computer and it lets you put all sorts of funky effects on them.  I replaced my other pic of my haircut with a new one because I have semi learned how to fix it now.  Any way I came across pictures of my husband on the photo booth!! This is what he must be doing when he is working so hard in the office. Even though it is a little creepy you have got to love it!!

Not so much loving haircut!!!

So I had a brain fart and thought I might like to cut my hair, which I changed my mind as soon as the first cut.  I hate to admit it but I actually cried when I got home!!  I never realized how much I hid behind my hair or how much I needed it there.  Sooo tell me what you think and be HONEST!!   I am not loving it!!  By the way I could have made a wig out of the hair, it would have been a bad wig but a wig none the less!!

Love Haircuts!!

Brynleigh got a haircut yesterday so cute.  Everytime she gets it cut shorter I wonder why we dont keep it that way she looks darling.  She is in the school play again this year, she loves to sing.  They are doing Aristocats and surprise she is .... you guessed it a cat!!  She is such a fun girl, I am so glad to have her in our family.
