Do you suffer from?
This was on my friends blog and I had to post it because it is so true.
C.A.A.D.D.???
Child Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to do the laundry. As I start toward the basement, I notice that there are Cheerios all over the floor and my house keys are in the cereal bowl.
I decide to pick up the cheerios before I do the laundry. I lay my keys down on the counter, put the cheerios in the trashcan under the counter, and notice that the trashcan is full. So, I decide to take out the trash.
But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the trash I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left, my extra checks are in my desk in the office, so I go to my desk where I find a sippy cup full of juice. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I decide I should put the sippy cup in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
As I head toward the kitchen with the sippy cup a plant on the counter catches my eye--it needs to be watered. I set the sippy cup on the counter, and I discover baby wipes that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back in the bathroom, but first I'm going to water the plants. I set the wipes back down, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote, left on the kitchen table.
I realize that when I go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that
it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll
water the plants. I splash some water on the plant, but most of it spills on the floor. So, I set the
remote back down, get some paper towels and wipe up the spill.
Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I
was planning to do.
At the end of the day: the laundry isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm cup of juice
sitting on the counter, the plants aren't watered, there is still only one check in my check book, I
can't find the remote, I can't find the wipes, and I don't remember what I did with my keys. Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day
long, and I'm really tired

The big 6
Happy Birthday to our crazy Porter!! He turned six today and I have no idea where the time has gone. He has been counting down his birthday since January. He started off the day with our traditional breakfast with Dad at Cracker Barrel. Off to school he went and then Grandma Jo took him to Burger King (for the Indiana Jones toy) and we went to the Indy movie with some of his cousins. He had a great day. I hope it lived up to all his expectations for the last 5 months. What a fun boy he is to have around always cracking jokes and trying to push people's buttons to get a laugh. He is also so kind and sensitive to other peoples feelings. We can always count on him being honest, sometimes to his own demise. If he is guilty of doing something he will freely admit it and take the consequences. We are so blessed to have him in our family!!! We love you Porter!!

Sad day at the Kinne's
Well Boston our dog is gone. We have had her for sale on KSL for about a month because we felt bad that we didnt have the time to spend with her that we should. We don't let her roam the house while we are gone and we dont have a fence, so we wanted her to have a happier life. She is a great dog and the kids loved her. Talk about heart breaking. Porter just barely cried himself to sleep he had the hardest time. The people that took her seem like they will take great care of her, and even let her sleep in their bed. We will all miss her. And they said we can come to visit her when we want, which Porter wants to go tomorrow.
Like Father Like Daughter!!
Bynleigh is officially Brian's mini me. She has been wanting a ipod shuffle for quite a while now, however Brian and I told her she needed to earn the money herself. She has been saving for a bit, and had the idea to sell vinyl signs to the neighbors that say no soliciting. (we get them by the van fulls in the summer trying to sell anything and everything) My mom made here some signs and sent them to her and she was off and selling. She was so cute, she had a sales pitch and everything and wasnt even scared, after some hard work and the money she had already saved she had enough. We ran to the store and she bought her ipod!! What a little entrepreneur!!! We were so proud of her.
Finally!!
So the weather was finally good enough to have our hot dog and marshmallow roast!! It was a lot of fun and can I just say that hot dogs always taste better over a camp fire!! The marshmallows are always great and super messy as you can see but we had a great time. Brian made the most perfect looking and tasting marshmallows you have ever seen. I would have taken a picture of one but Brynleigh and I ate them too fast!! The fire burned way past dark and some of the neighbors came over to chat. We headed in to call it a night and wash all the smoke stink off!!
